Happy Graduation Class of 2008!!

Hello All,

My nephew Matt just graduated high school yesterday at 2p.m.!! He wore his black gown and gold sash. we all yelled when he came on stage "GO MATT!!" Of course he was embarrassed. We recorded it onto a dvd for future viewings..lol when hes married and all lol. We then went to eat with ALL the relatives at a Golden Corral--(all you can eat) restaurant. My sister had already decorated the tables and guest began arriving. The day was a typical "HOT" day in the Texas heat. The restaurant was very hot too the whole time we were there. So hot our ice in our drinks melted several times - eww- lol. My brother had bought a graduation cake and It was very cold, from being in the restaurant's frig..yum cold is goood...
None the less it was a memorable time in my life and I wanted to share the joy and excitement I experienced there with my whole family and a few friends.
It was so exciting, we ate took pictures, video taped it, and laughed and had a blast. We even saw people we had not seen in so long, it was great. Matt read all his graduation cards out loud, which was very funny seeing as some of the things written were quite comical and emotional.

His school colors are black and yellow so I wanted to add this cute touch to the blog. He is my nephew and I am so proud of him for sticking with the program and fighting all the odds of 12 years in school.

He is a very smart and talented young man. I know with the support and love of his family he will go far in life. Anything is possible with the power of love.

Until Next Time,

Teresa

Happy 64th Birthday Dad!!

Hello All,

Today would have been my dad's 64th Birthday Today!

So today I'm honoring his memory by posting on here for everyone to share in it with me. My dad was born in 1944 in Huntington, West Virginia to Vernon and Beverly his mom and dad. He met my mom in the 1950's and they married in 1963 on Dec 24th. Times were easy but a bit hard at times too. Especially the Gas shortage back in the 70's. I remember waiting in line with my mom and dad at the pumps. There were many fights and arguments as to who was first in line and all. Dad opened his own computer company by then and that's when things got a lot better for us. We did quite well for ourselves but then mom got sick and passed away in 92' and then my dad developed cancer of the throat and followed her in death in 94'.

My dad was an artist and he used to draw and paint all the time when I was younger. That is how I learned my interest in art and drawing , painting. We used to paint many pictures together and he taught me to see my art visions, They are the images in the paper that you can see that are waiting to come alive by the art you bring to it.

I do miss my dad alot He was and still is a large part of my life then and today. I wish he and my mom both were alive today, I have a feeling they would be proud of me as their daughter and as an artist.

I Love you Dad! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Until Next Time,

Teresa

Mother's Day '08

Greetings All,

I have so much that is going on here..

First I want to tell you of a funny story that actually happened to me and my husband. We got back from the grocery store on Fri. and we bought a new air filter for our apartment. Well my husband unscrewed the cover off and turned his back to get something to clean it off with. Our return vent is on the ceiling above our fridge. Anyway our youngest cat ashes jumped on the top of our fridge and peeked inside of the open vent. He then jumped inside us not knowing. We replaced the filter and screwed the vent cover back on. A few minutes later we heard a faint meowing, we looked everywhere then I said he's in the vent! we took it off in a hurry and there he was peering from the open vent. It was so funny how he climbed up there and us not knowing, boy he is a curious kitty..He was ok except a bit dust covered..
